NBA Players and Mood Disorders

It it estimated that up to one or 2% of the entire national basketball Association has some type of mood disorder. Since this is the case, many people are hoping that the statistics will help other people stop being so negative about mental disorders such as bipolar disorder, fibromyalgia and other problems that we had.

The idea and hope is that if most of society sees that most superstars, sports athletes and Hollywood figures have problems with mood disorders or mental illnesses, that the rest of society will start to accept them a little bit more. Many of the NBA stars actually reach out to children that have disabilities and going see them on regular basis. This is also one hopes to show everyone that we should all accept equal, since we all really are.

If you know of a recent sports figure that has bipolar disorder, please share your experience with other people. Many times the media are treys Hollywood actors and sports figures as someone other than human, but they really are just human like you and me. They have a special unique ability which enables them to be on television and make more money than the average person, but they are still one of us. Please use these facts, figures and statistics to help the rest of society understand and accept anyone with bipolar disorder or any other mood disorder.

Of course, you will need a proper bipolar test from a mental health physician in order to properly diagnosed any suspicions or symptoms that you possibly may have.
